Bargain Barn began operation in 1961 in a rural section of the north Georgia mountains near Jasper, Georgia. As the years passed, Bargain Barn changed the products offered to meet the expanding needs of the mountain outdoor sportsman. To satisfy the whole family, casual clothes, footwear, unique giftware, fishing and other departments were developed.In 1998 Bargain Barn was now under only the second owner since 1961. In 1999, Bargain Barn followed the modern day traffic flow and moved to its present location on the 4 lane northern extension of Interstate Highway-575, designated Hwy 515.In August of 2001 Bargain Barn opened the expanded Marine, Fishing and Camping area of the "barn". Since then, a jewelry department has been opened to accomodate the growing number of female shoppers. Now at 80, 000 square feet of displayed merchandise, Bargain Barn is positioned for the customers who travel as far as 150 miles to save a great deal of money.Although the number of items shown on our web site is limited at this time, we are adding items daily.
