Founded in 1869, Welchs is one of the leading marketers of Concord and Niagara-based grape products in the world. It offers more than 400 refrigerated juices and related items, such as cocktails, jams, jellies and single-serve products. The company sells products throughout the United States and in over 35 countries and territories. Welchs provides grape juice and dried cherries, cranberries and spiced apples. It also offers blueberry and strawberry yogurt and guava, pineapple, mango and mountain berry cocktails. The company was acquired by the National Grape Cooperative Association in 1952, which is a grower-owned agricultural cooperative and is comprised of 1,400 grape growers with farms throughout Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Washington.
