Associated Grocers of New England, with headquarters in Manchester, N.H., is a retailer- owned, wholesale grocery distribution center. The company offers members and customers a full line of products and services from an inventory of more than 14,000 items, including meat, produce, bakery items and general grocery products. AGNE also provides retail supports such as advertising, marketing, merchandising, accounting and retail systems to more than 400 customers in the six-state New England region and eastern New York. Associated Grocers of New England was organized in February 1946 by a group of independent retailers whose goal was to form a company with greater purchasing power than each could realize individually.
