Established in 1976, the Youngs Fire Department is a volunteer fire department that is responsible for providing fire protection and prevention services to residents of Laurens County, S.C. It also offers medical first response and emergency medical services. The Youngs Fire Department s maintains a tanker and brush truck, as well as engines and light rescue and service units. The department specializes in handling structure, grass, brush and vehicle fires. The Youngs Fire Department also maintains equipment, such as booster tanks, air cylinders, hydraulic generators and thermal imaging cameras.
