Established in 1946, the Miami Township Fire Department is a full-service organization that is comprised of career and part-time personnel. The department offers fire suppression, rescue and emergency medical services for residents. It handles hazardous materials-related incidents, vehicle extrication, structural collapse, and water, ice, rope, space and trench rescue operations. The Miami Township Fire Department employs a staff of more than 60 firefighters and volunteers, as well as operates several fire stations. The department also operates an operations division that offers fire suppression and prevention and public education services. Its operations division provides advanced life support, including cardiac monitoring, drug and intravenous therapies, and incubation and breathing treatments. The department division additionally supports a special operations group that is responsible for advanced technical rescue operations. It maintains a location in Miamisburg, Ohio.
