Brookline's Fire Department is headquartered on the second floor of the Public Safety Building on Washington Street. The department's Fire Prevention Division, which is responsible for overseeing fire regulations and issuing relevant permits, has an office on the first-floor lobby.
The department is lead by Chief Peter Skerry.
