The Renaissance Festival is a group of performers who have put on the Colorado Renaissance Festival for nearly 30 years. The show features a cast of hundreds of authentically costumed merrymakers living and working throughout the village and performing continuously on the festivals seven stages. The illusion of a rollicking 16th century festival day is created. Impromptu encounters with the royalty and peasantry of Tudor England are commonplace. There are jousters, jugglers, minstrels and maidens faire, all schooled in the art of interactive theatre. The show has 200 skilled artisans who exhibit a variety of mediums including fine art, glassblowing, pottery, jewelry, woodworking, blacksmithing and leather working. There is renaissance food such as turkey drumsticks, steak on a stake, roasted corn, Leonardo DaVinci meatball sandwich, artichokes, a variety of sausages on a stick and an assortment of ales and drinks available.
