The North Spartanburg Fire District is a full-service public safety agency that works to provide fire prevention and suppression and emergency control services. It operates a communication center that coordinates responses to various fire and medical emergency and nonemergency calls for service. The district maintains more than two fire stations and serves in an area of more than 35 square miles. The North Spartanburg Fire District utilizes a fleet of brush tanks, aerial equipment, trucks, engines, freightliners, and special and command vehicles. It offers information regarding home and business safety, fire extinguishers, smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors. The district also conducts public safety education programs and inspections.
