The Duncan Police Department works to provide law enforcement services and ensure the safety and security of citizens. It operates a uniform division that is comprised of dispatch, patrol, K-9, and lake and bike units. The department s nonuniform division consists of criminal investigation, animal control, and records and training units. The Duncan Police Department employs several field training, reserve and school resource officers. It conducts neighborhood and vacation watch and senior citizens safety programs. The department also offers information regarding gang prevention, domestic violence, and bike and seat belt safety. The Duncan Police Department supports the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program, which teaches students to avoid peer pressure temptations and drugs. It also provides crime, animal control and traffic statistics, as well as assists with licensing services to carry concealed weapons. The department is located in Duncan, Okla.
