Owners Sally Cramer and her son Ted Kramer have extensive business experience in sales and retail management. In 1995, Sally Cramer purchased Oaklane Kennels, which was at the time a highly regarded 12-kennel facility. Over a period of several years, she carefully planned and created a state-of-the-art facility while maintaining a warm and friendly atmosphere. Today, Oaklane Kennels offers 42 safe, clean runs, an in-ground pool and a large, fenced-in play area. A new office and drop-off/pick-up area leads to climate-controlled kennels, and to the play area beyond. During the construction, Sally Kramer was careful to preserve the oak trees that have always provided shelter and charm to the grounds of Oaklane. Both Kramers have participated in the Southeast Seeing Eye Dog Program and have volunteered for various Hillsborough County pet rescue and adoption programs.
