Clearwater Marine Aquarium is a rescue, rehab and recovery center for injured marine animals such as turtles, otters, birds, fish, sharks and mammals. The star is Winter the Dolphin who has a prosthetic tail and is a permanent resident. The facility was closed for several months at the end of 2010 to film a Warner Bros major motion picture featuring Winter. This is a small facility and doesn't take long to see but it's a wonderful experience and a great educational opportunity for kids, who will never realize it because they are having too much fun. Call for info on school trips and how to donate or get involved as a volunteer. Private events may be scheduled.
Diamond Isle Condominium offers high-rise units with a view of Clearwater bay and beyond. Amenities include a swimming pool, tennis courts, boat dock, fitness center and shuffleboard. The complex is very close to the beaches of Clearwater as well as a multitude of shopping and dining opportunities.
