Southcentral Foundation is a health care organization owned by the natives of Alaska. It serves more than 1,000 people through over 60 programs and is a part of CIRI, a regional corporation. The organization works to promote the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual development of people. It offers smoking cessation classes and baby clinics. Southcentral Foundation conducts research in the areas of medical, social and physical science. It operates a residential facility, Pathway Home, which offers individual and group therapy, family counseling, psychiatric evaluation, medication management and vocational training services to young men of ages 13 to 18. The organization s behavioral health service clinics provide screening, assessment, and outpatient individual and play therapy services. Southcentral Foundation conducts a family wellness program that brings together the leaders of the native community and regional corporations and agencies to restore wellness. The organization additionally maintains a laboratory accredited by the College of American Pathologists.
