Dakota Elementary School serves students of grades kindergarten through six. The elementary school offer classes in English, mathematics, science, social studies, language arts, music and physical education. The school offers a variety of special education classes for talented and gifted students. The school s library has a wide collection of fiction and nonfiction books, subject books, magazines and reference material for teachers. It also provides several organizations, such as Minot Recreation Commission, YMCA and booster clubs.
