Founded in 1991, Black Mountain Elementary School serves more than 700 students in kindergarten through grade eight. The school has a parent-teacher volunteer organization that provides programs, activities, information and resources to strengthen relationship between school staff, students and the community. Its staff includes a music teacher, psychologist, counselor, reading specialist and a librarian. The elementary school s counselor serves as a resource for students, parents and staff, and provides consultation, individual and group counseling, developmental lessons and coordinating services. Black Mountain Elementary School is governed by the Kingman Unified School District and has a campus located in Golden Valley, Ariz.
