Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy A hyperbaric oxygen chamber helps wounds heal by surrounding patients with 100% pressurized oxygen. This saturation promotes the bodys natural immune system and healing responses, allowing wounds to heal more easily, from the inside out. The therapy takes approximately 90 minutes, during which time the patient may nap or watch television while undergoing treatment.
