The North Shore PET Imaging Center is a state-of-the-art facility and the first of its kind to be accredited in Massachusetts. PET is an acronym for Positron Emission Tomography. Images gathered can show the function of metabolism of cells in the body, unlike traditional X-rays which only map the anatomy of the body's structures.

It can boast being the first facility in the North Shore to provide an in-suite digital X-ray facility, which can also be found at its two other locations in Danvers. There are seven doctors and five physician's assistants among the 30 staff members.
