Dr. Peter Zahos is a board-certified, Yale-educated neurosurgeon, who specializes in brain and spinal tumor resection, as well as in movement disorders. Dr. Zahos completed his undergraduate education in Religious Studies at Yale University, before attending the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington D.C. After earning his MD, Dr. Zahos completed his surgical residency in neurosurgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. In 1995, Dr. Zahos was awarded the position of Chief Resident in Neurosurgery for his excellent performance in resolving brain and spine disorders. Subsequently, in 2003, Dr. Zahos performed a fellowship in Functional Neurosurgery and Stereotactic Radiosurgery at the University of California (Los Angeles) to further hone his surgical skills. Currently, Dr. Zahos serves as Director of Neurosurgery at NJ Spine & Orthopedic. In the past, he has served as Director of the Department of Neurosurgery for both Staten Island University Hospital and Cleveland Clinic Florida; Director of the Brain Tumor Programs at Geisinger Health System, Cleveland Clinic Florida, and Cleveland Clinic Foundation; and Director of Movement Disorder Surgery at the New Jersey Neuroscience Institute of JFK Medical Center and Merdian Health System.
