Shepherd's Path is a faith-based inter-generational campus on 80 acres in the northwest corner of Prior Lake, serving Prior Lake, Savage, Shakopee and the surrounding communities. Along with Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church, the campus also includes Shepherd's Flock Preschool, McKenna Crossing, Safe Haven and River Valley YMCA. Services provided include pre-school, tutoring, child and adult day care, assisted living and senior care.
Minnesota Montessori is a locally owned Montessori school and child care center established in 2006. Programs include preschool for children, from infants to 5 years and kindergarten. The classes and programs emphasize and enhance the potential in young students through specially designed teaching materials and Montessori trained teachers.
French, Spanish, American sign language, music and dance are included in addition to the full Montessori curriculum.
Shepherd's Flock Preschool is a service of Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church in Prior Lake. It is designed for children ages 3-5. The curriculum includes reading, music and large motor play along with hands-on learning in math, science, cooking, art and language. Bible stories and lessons are incorporated into daily activities.
Located in the Town Square mall, Tikes and Tots' mission is to provide a safe, home-like day-care setting in which pre-school children can grow, develop and learn. Tikes and Tots has rooms licensed to accommodate infants, toddlers and children up to age 5. The facility has a large, well-equipped indoor gym and an outdoor playground. There also is a kitchen, where breakfast, lunch and snacks are prepared.
Located in the St. Mark's Church school building, the Shakopee Child Learning Center has provided a welcoming, enriched environment for children ages 3 to 5 to learn and develop since 1982. The center is well equipped with books, blocks and toys. Classes are held Monday through Friday from the week after Labor Day through May, from 9am to 11:30 am and 12:30pm to 3:30pm. Each class has a state-certified nursery school teacher and qualified teacher's assistant.
