Now in its 8th year, Turning Pointe Dance Studio is Falmouth's largest dance studio. The studio began classes this year in a new state-of-the-art facility at 509 Thomas Landers Road in Falmouth. The new space has two spacious studios, a comfortable waiting room, a dressing room equipped with lockers for intensive division students, and two bathrooms. It also features a built-in sound system, central air conditioning, professionally sprung, shock absorbent dance floors, wall-to-wall mirrors, and dual-height barres.
Turning Pointe offers classes for infants through adults in a variety of programs, including ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, modern, hip hop & breakdancing, body conditioning, Pilates, Itsy Bitsy Yoga, and Playtime Fitness Gymbuddies. Some classes are designed for parents to participate with their young children, and there is also a boys-only hip hop & breakdancing class.
The studio's director, Laura Sciortino, is a classically trained professional dancer. In addition to Ms. Sciortinio, the faculty consists of several experienced teachers in the various disciplines.
