Nestled in the heart of the city, the Kirkland Dance Center has been a mainstay for everything dance since 2002. A nonprofit organization, KDC offers both adult and child classes ranging from beginning to advanced levels. Fall classes include lyrical jazz, hip-hop, ballet and contemporary dance. Check both adult and child classes online for times, which range from Saturday afternoon through weeknight. Rates run $12 for a drop-in to $165 for unlimited classes. Two large studios with spring floors for ease of dance are also available for rental.
Payette's School of Dance is a two-studio dance school offering lessons in ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical dance, and tumbling. The classes are broken up by age group, and private classes area also available. Performances are held regularly for performance group students.
