Attorney Michael C. ["Mike"] Boland has been practicing law in Pennsylvania since November 1979.
Mr. Boland began his career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Berks County DA's office in the Yatron administration in 1979 until 1981. This enabled him to try many cases, even a triple homicide, in the first two years after law school. It also familiarized Attorney Boland with the local rules of court in Berks County and the bench and bar.
Mr. Boland was associated with Attorney Alan S. Readinger for seventeen years and maintained an office in the Penn Square Center in Reading from 1979 until 1997.
In February 1997, Attorney Boland moved his office to its present location at 147 North Fifth Street in downtown Reading which is the most suitable location for his practice in light of his litigation oriented practice which requires court appearances and many court filings in the Berks County Courthouse in Reading.
Mr. Boland actively practices, however, in surrounding counties, especially Lehigh, Chester, Schuylkill and Lancaster counties. He has also appeared in the Courts of Philadelphia County, Union County, Clinton County, Lebanon County, Delaware County, Dauphin County and York County. Additionally, he has filed and argued appeals before both the Commonwealth and Superior Courts in Harrisburg.
Mr. Boland is admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of PA. He was admitted to federal practice in 1981.
Mr. Boland takes pride in advising his clients regarding their need for his services-- and when they do not need his services-- and has a client base of over 2,000 individuals in Berks County.
Contingent fee agreements are standard in personal injury cases and lump sum fee agreements are frequently utilized in criminal representation.
Mr. Boland's present hourly rate for cases which cannot be handled on a lump sum or contingent fee basis is $240 per hour.
Attorney Boland advises prospective and actual clients of the cost for his services immediately or contemporaneously with the commencement of representation as is required by the PA Rules of Professional Conduct. He abhors fee disputes which have occurred rarely in his 30 plus years of law practice.
Mr. Boland has appeared in Court before all of the present Judges of the Court of Common Pleas of Berks County, and he also has appeared in the Magisterial District Court of every Magisterial District Judge in Berks County.
Attorney Boland provides a personalized service and will not assign your case to an associate. When you retain Attorney Boland, he will appear for you in your case-- not someone else.
A lawyer with honesty and integrity is very difficult to find, especially in these difficult economic times. But look no further as Attorney Mike Boland is ready to personally help you throughout your legal matter, whether it be criminal, civil, domestic or fiduciary.
