The Malden Court House is located on Summer Street after the Pearl Street Station. It is a 10-to-15 minute walk from the Malden Center train station. The number 99 and 132 buses stop right in front of the courthouse. There is not a lot of parking in the area, but there are some 1-hour parking spots on the street. There is also a paid parking lot on the opposite corner.
The Malden Court House handles all local cases within the cities of Malden, Melrose, Everett, and Wakefield, including traffic and parking violations, custody hearings, and other minor civil cases. Cell phones, food, and drink are not permitted within the courthouse.
The Plymouth County Correctional Facility is the largest correctional facility under one roof in New England. Its male inmate population includes county, state and federal prisoners who are either sentenced or awaiting trial. It also houses the state's only juvenile facility. The Plymouth County Correctional Facility is located on Long Pond Road, minutes from the highway.
