uThe Montgomery Economic Development Corporation, founded in 2003, is a non-pofit organization funded by local businesses, along with the Village of Montgomery. It exists to promote economic development, expansion and diversification in Montgomery. The executive director is Charlene Coulombe-Fiore.
The MEDC works with the Small Business Development Center at Waubonsee Community College, and it offers marketing and planning advice to business owners. The MEDC also maintains a database of vacant properties in the village, and works to fill them.
The Webster Street office also houses the Greater Montgomery Chamber of Commerce, an organization of roughly 110 area businesses. The Chamber's executive director is Jennifer Jones Sinnott, and its executive administrator is Pam Nagel.
