The county public health office oversees health initiatives and manages a slew of departments dealing with public health, including bioterrorism, environmental health, nursing and hazardous materials, also offering a rape crisis center. The department assists New Brunswick and 21 other towns throughout the county. The department also provides flu shot clinics, issues health alerts and hosts community wellness events. The offices are located within the Middlesex County Administration Building.
