Founded in 2004, North Jefferson Middle School enrolls students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes English, math, physical education, social studies, science and language arts. The school also offers extracurricular activities in band, choir and drama. North Jefferson Middle School maintains a library and media center. In addition, it operates the Beta Club and provides membership opportunities in the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. The school organizes basketball, softball, volleyball, football and golf tournaments. North Jefferson Middle School offers guidance counseling and food services. It also provides the Science Olympiad program. The school is a part of the Jefferson County School System.
