Riverside Community Care service is available 24 hours daily, seven days a week for psychiatric crisis interventions. The staff will make visitation to homes, schools and residential programs, as well as hospital emergency rooms. Their specialization is psychiatric and substance abuse assessment and initial stabilization or therapy, also offering referral for additional services and follow-up. In-patient care and of up to 72 hours is available to those under 21 years old who are covered by MassHealth insurance or are uninsured.
Staff also work on clinical consultation for adults and children with development disabilities who are also experiencing emotional, behavioral, or psychiatric disorders.
Riverside provides both emergency and referral services on behalf of Caritas Norwood Hospital, Newton-Wellesley Hospital, and Beth Israel Deaconess-Needham Hospital.

The strategy at Academy Metrowest is to assist children in the development of social skills, as well as the promotion of healthy peer interraction through group play. Academy MetroWest also offers outreach services to schools, hospitals, professional associations and parent groups, either through group sessions, in-depth consultations or day seminars.
