Pregnant women flock to Scalini's to try the Eggplant Parmigiana with the hopes of delivering their baby within 48 hours of eating the breaded eggplant covered with cheese and marinara sauce. Any baby born within 48 hours is considered an "Eggplant Baby" and featured on Scalini's website and on the restaurant's wall of baby pictures. This restaurant is also known for its salad and garlic rolls for sharing served with every meal.
