Maine Veterans Homes is a public, nonprofit organization formed by the 108th Maine legislature in 1977. It offers a wide range of health care services. It offers various services, such as rehabilitation, skilled nursing, long-term, residential, dementia and end of life care services to the residents. Maine Veterans Homes accepts insurance plans of various agencies, such as Medicare and Medicaid. It has more than five facilities located in Augusta, Bangor, Caribou, Machias, Scarborough and South Paris, Maine.
