A Little About NMW: We are a Midwestern Sales company that specializes in concrete related products. In fact, everything we sell either goes into, or against concrete. We are owned/operated by Ed Koch and Jason Koch. Ed Koch started a company marketing GFRC panels in 1977. In 1983 he began marketing and distributing Fibermesh in Indiana. He then co-founded another company in 1988, which developed the original Nycon , the first commercially available nylon fiber for concrete. That company has evolved into who we are today, NMW, Inc Products That Perform: We have been a localized marketer of synthetic fibers for concrete, concentrating on the Indiana and surrounding states since 1983. In the fall of 2006 we took steps to expand our market and product line so as to be able to service the fiber needs of the concrete industry beyond our original boundaries. We carry the most extensive line of fiber products in the industry, Nylon, Polypropylene, Macro Fibers, Steel, Glass and PVA. We began marketing and distributing polyethylene foam for expansion joint filler in 1995. We are now self sufficient and convert Foamtech products direct from the manufacturer. We offer materials such as Backer Rod, EXP 200, Rebonded Rubber, Neoprene Sponge, Crosslinked Polyethylene and Cork. Currently NMWs growth is through the development of a Manufacturers Representative network here in the U.S. and a distributor network offshore. We are continually pursuing name recognition by participation in various associations and organizations related to the concrete industry. Tech-Con Systems is a regionally based post-tensioned reinforcement company. Post tensioning is like most other construction systems. The architect designs the structure according to the owners desires; the engineer determines the prestressing forces and tendon profiles needed to make the structure work under the intended loads. And then it falls to the general contractor or concrete contractor to make it all happen. Tech-Con reviews detailed installation drawings, fabricates the post-tensioning tendons and deliver all of the components necessary for a complete system to the jobsite. The type of structure being built determines when post-tensioning is used and whether the type of application should be bonded or unbonded. After more than 50 years, post-tensioning has earned its place in construction. It is successful because it allows contractors to reduce concretes thickness while maintaining its strength, resulting in lighter, less costly structures that are as strong or even stronger than non-post-tensioned structures. Post-tensioning is now commonly found in bridges, office buildings, parking structures, and hotels, as well as slabs on ground, and even rock and soil applications. Whether a bridge or the ballroom of a hotel, the span length and required load carrying capacity dictate the structural concrete thickness to be used. However, not every post-tensioning company specializes in every application.
