The Long Valley MVCA (or Muscanetcong Valley Community Association) offers local after-school care and provides transportation from all of the schools in town, below the high school level. The after-school care takes place at Old Farmer's Road School, but the MVCA has its own school and daycare space located within the Long Valley Plaza. Programs include indoor and outdoor gym activities, snacks, homework time, ground and individual activities and free time. The MVCA employees are long-time Long Valley Residents.There is also before-school care available.
Established in 1962, Our Lady of the Mountain sits atop Schooleys Mountain on East Springtown Road. The church's congregation size eclipses 1,400 parishioners and is lead by Father Mark Olenowski. Our Lady of the Mountain offers six weekend masses and a 9:30am weekday mass. It is part of the diocese of Paterson, NJ.
A landmark in the community of Long Valley, Zion Lutheran Church sits at the bottom of Schooley's Mountain Road on the south end. The congregation has been led by Pastor Peter Froehlke since 1994, and the church celebrates its 250th anniversary in 2010. Zion offers two Sunday services; 8am and 10:30am. The church also offers child care, two youth groups and Sunday school for students through 8th grade. Behind the church is Zion Field, where little league teams play baseball.
Rem New Jersey is a shelter home owned and operated by New Jersey MENTOR. New Jersey MENTOR serves hundreds of people throughout the state through its various offices. It offers personalized programs for children and adults. Furthermore, it supports individuals with mental, physical, and behavioral disabilities.

Located within Rock Spring Park, the Washington Township Senior Center hosts various groups for gathering and socializing, including card players and veterans. It also offers weekly activities.
Ground breaking for the building began in 1986 and construction was completed in the spring of 1987. Federal and local grants, in conjunction with volunteerism and community services, provided the means to complete the project.
Although Immanuel Lutheran Church began in the fall of 1983 in Roxbury Township, it wasn't until September of 1991 that it settled in Long Valley. Pastor Donald Tollefson has been leading the church's worship since 1984 and has lived in Long Valley since 1989. The church considers itself conservative Lutheran and offers two Sunday services each week.
Schooley's Mountain County Park is a 797-acre park featuring all types of scenic views and recreation facilities. The park offers a wide range of areas, including ball fields, fishing areas, ice skating, play areas and picnic areas, among others. The site also features an eight-acre lake as well as a 470-foot floating bridge. The park also has a natural amphitheater, which is the site of concerts during the Summerfest and the group shelter for picnickers. The Schooley's Mountain Park Lodge is available for corporate or private rentals, such as meetings, weddings, bridal showers and more.
Emmanuel Bible Church began as a gathering community at the Liebenzell Retreat Center on Schooleys Mountain in 1977. The church's present building was dedicated in 1991. The congregation is currently lead by Minister Harry Stoliker. The church offers a variety of programs in both missions and youth ministry, as well as athletic events and group functions.
