The George Washington Carver Community Center has been providing a range of support programs for at-risk youths for nearly 70 years. The center offers various educational, cultural, social and recreational opportunities for its members and participants. Its after-school programs serve youths in kindergarten through high school. The George Washington Carver Community Center administers the Youth Development Program (Y.D.P.), which encourages junior high and high school youths to pursue higher education, as well as motivates college students in pursuing their goals.
