Northeastern State University, founded in 1851 under the name Cherokee National Female Seminary, is one of the largest universities in Oklahoma. The university offers more than 65 undergraduate degrees, over 15 graduate degrees and various preprofessional programs in five colleges. It has a student-to-faculty ratio of 26 to 1.
