Located in Southaven, Miss., SBEC, also known as Southern Baptist Educational Center, is a biblically based Christian school that serves students in grades kindergarten through 12 and offers a variety of educational programs. The educational center was founded in 1972 and is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International. Its academic curriculum includes English, mathematics, science, foreign languages, Bible study, physical education, social studies, computer application and fine arts. The educational center offers various athletic activities, including baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross country, football, golf, softball, tennis, track, soccer and volleyball. SBEC is approved by the Southern Association of Independent Schools and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
