The Mississippi State University provides undergraduate and graduate educational programs and conducts research in a wide range of subjects. The university was established in 1878, and has one of its campuses located in Meridian, Miss. The various educational courses offered at the campus include business, arts, sciences, accountancy, engineering and education. It also conducts a weekend masters in business administration program for professionals. Additionally, it operates the University of South Mississippi-Meridian College of Nursing. The university offers full-time residential courses and distance learning programs. The students are provided various amenities, such as a book store, a computer laboratory, wireless computer network and a counseling center.
