Dearborn Heights Montessori Center, a nonprofit educational community and was founded in 1972. It is located in Dearborn Heights, Mich. It provides a nongraded learning institution for more than 400 students prekindergarten through eighth grade. The school s curriculum is based upon the Montessori method and the classes are multiage grouping. The subjects offered include art, music, French, Spanish, technology and physical education. In addition it has the regular classroom programs. The school offers a variety of facilities, such as various classrooms, a gymnasium and stage, and well equipped outdoor play areas. Dearborn Heights Montessori Center is affiliated with the American Montessori Society, Michigan Montessori Society, and the Association of Independent Michigan Schools and approved by the Michigan Department of Education.
