Established in 1925, Trinidad State Junior College is affiliated with the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and the Secondary Schools Commission on Institutions of Higher Education. The college offers certificate courses in a variety of subjects, including business management, aquaculture, massage therapy, cosmetology and construction technology. It also provides degree programs in office technology and nursing. In addition, the college conducts classes in journalism, creative writing, psychology, forensic science and engineering. It offers a range of sports activities, such as golf, basketball, softball, volleyball and baseball. The college operates clubs and organizations, including the Phi Theta Kappa - International Honor Society and student leadership council.
