Calistoga Roastery is the city's premier coffee shop. It was founded over a decade ago by Clive Richardson and Jack Martin; currently it is managed by Richardson and Eva King. The cafe features premium roasts and teas, scones, muffins, croissants, danishes and other pastries, homemade granola, bagels, breakfast sandwiches, smoothies, a full espresso bar, salads and sandwiches. It also retails its independently-made blends online.

The quaint coffee and tea shop masters the neighborhood feel. A Manhattan family business since 1908, the shop expanded to Hoboken 14 years ago. Empire is an artisanal coffee roaster, roasting all coffee by hand. The atmosphere is cozy, with two indoor tables and several outdoor ones. The left wall is lined with fresh coffee beans from around the world; the right wall features deluxe gift baskets, tea pots and chocolates. There is a tea room located behind the register, where customers can choose from a huge variety of loose leaf teas.
Rockn' Joe is a coffeehouse and bistro with a rock music theme. Many of the drinks and dishes have a music theme and the walls are covered with music memorabilia. The menu offers light fare including sandwiches and salads. There's also a vast dessert selection, including pies, cakes, cookies and brownies.
