Antelope Mine is a property that is owned and operated by Rio Tinto Energy America, which is a mining and natural resource company. The mine features various coal properties in the south-central area of the Powder River Basin. It supplies coal to various markets throughout Illinois, Oklahoma, Michigan and Texas. Antelope Mine is permitted for more than 35 million tons of coal annually. The mine employs over 400 people. It has received the Sentinels of Safety award by the Department of Labor.
