Since its founding in 1975, Berns, Clancy and Associates has grown steadily to its current staff of approximately 28 employees; these include 8 Professional Engineers, Surveyors, and Planners. Of these employees, eight are graduate Civil Engineers, one is also an Attorney, and two are graduate Agricultural Engineers. This staffing gives us the flexibility to provide fast, efficient service while maintaining the personal involvement and attention of our principals and senior staff members.
The size of Berns, Clancy and Associates as well as the organization of our offices, provides excellent communication between the support staff, professionals and principals. Our principles are involved in day-to-day decisions and design operations and they quickly address and resolve concerns. The office at this location is the municipal government headquarters of Algonquin Township. It is the largest township in McHenry County, emcompassing Algonquin, Barrington Hills, Cary, Crystal Lake, Fox River Grove, Lake In The Hills, Village of Port Barrington, Lakewood, Oakwood Hills and Trout Valley. The township office houses various town departments, including the township clerk and assesor's and supervisor's offices. The assesor's office stays open until 5pm on weekdays.
The Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department, formally known as the Parks/Forestry and Recreation Department, works with numerous programs and facilities throughout the city. It runs summer camps and classes, farmers markets, public concerts and movies, and senior programs, just to name a few. The Department aims to make Evanston a more "green" community, and is working to educate residents by raising awareness and hosting workshops on ways to reduce the city's carbon footprint. The Department director is Doug Gaynor.
The county administrative services office provides secretarial and research support to the County Board and its committees. It also coordinates the county's budget preparation process, recruits employees for specific county departments, oversees many of the county's insurance programs and coordinates the liquor license application process, among other duties.
The administrative services office is located in Room 203 of the Kendall County Office Building. County administrator Jeff Wilkins oversees this office.
