Lower Gwynedd Township is one of the oldest townships in Montgomery County. The township is rooted in tradition and culture. With an expanding community and an extensive — and growing — park system, it has a healthy balance of modern living and historic preservation.
The District Courts of Montgomery County serve as the initial tier of Pennsylvania's Unified Judicial System. The District Courts maintain jurisdiction over criminal preliminary arraignments and preliminary hearings, summary criminal offenses, traffic offenses, municipal code violations, landlord/tenant suits and civil claims in which damages do not exceed $8,000.
Downtown Ambler is a walkable commercial district with plenty of restaurants and shops. The Borough of Ambler government is composed of nine elected council members, representing three voting districts. The council meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday at 7pm in Borough Hall.
