For decades, the Glen Cove Senior Center has been the official agency of the City of Glen Cove for planning, developing and coordinating programs and services for older residents in Glen Cove and its surrounding communities.
For senior citizens 60 years of age and over, the Glen Cove Senior Center offers exciting trips, exercise programs and adult education courses as well as food and coffee.
The Glen Cove City Hall is where all of the city's council meetings take place and it is home to the offices of most of the city's departments and agencies including public works and parks and recreation.
Since 1994, this shelter has provided the community with a safe haven for the city's homeless pets, and a place to promote animal adoption. The league is 100 percent volunteer run and cares about the city's animals.
Assemblyman Charles D. Lavine represents the State's 13th Assembly District. His district office, located at 70 Glen Street in Glen Cove, is staffed with a talented group of individuals and volunteers who are skilled and experienced at helping constituents to resolve issues they may have with any layer of government, public utilities, insurance companies, banks and the like. If the situation is not within the Assemblyman's purview, the staff will steer constituents to the correct source. The local office also hosts individual and community meetings aimed at the betterment of the district and its residents.
