Westchester County Mental Health Department is responsible for the planning, oversight and coordination of services for county residents with mental illness, developmental disabilities and substance abuse problems. The Highway Department is responsible for the maintenance, rehabilitation and drainage of all town Highways with services including pothole repair, snow or ice removal, drainage, flood control and road sweeping.
The Westchester County Board of Legislators maintain their offices at this building. The legislators oversee the budget appropriations, community services, enviroment, energy, public safety and several other county divisions.
The Westchester Surrogate's Court has a chief clerk and deputy. This court deals with matter of probate and the administration of estates for Westchester County. It is located in the Westchester Supreme and County Courthouse.
Offices for the Westchester District Attorney are located in the Westchester Supreme and County Courthouse. The District Attorney's Office prosecutes almost 40,000 cases a year and is made up of five divisions. Each division is further broken down into bureaus. The homicide bureau is under the superior court trial division.
Members of the Lindenhurst Volunteer Fire Department work to protect locals from fires and other hazards. The volunteer force was founded in 1885, and a time capsule was buried on site during the building's 100th anniversary. Lindenhurst residents can call the station for around-the-clock service.
The White Plains Family Court is one of three family courts in the county. It is located in the Westchester Supreme and County Court building. The court is run by a supervising judge and three family court judges.

This small post office on Village Lane next to the Orient Country Store is a place where everybody really does know your name. Post office boxes are available and packaging materials are sold. Mail delivery is available along the rural routes.
The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is a federally funded program administered by the Westchester County Social Services Home Energy Assistance program. Low-income, elderly and disabled residents who cannot meet their home heating costs may be eligible based on certain criteria. Call for more information.
The Westchester County Department of Budget plans and controls all of the county's spending. It prepares the county's operating, water, sewer, refuse, and capital budgets. The office is located in Suite 311.
