The Provincetown Department of Public Works is responsible for all of the Towns public works functions, including Buildings and Grounds, Cemetery, Highway, Sewer, Trash and Recycling and Water. The various departments through which it operates include public works home, trash and recycling, highway and water department. Water improvements include a water treatment facility at Knowles Crossing. Sewer infrastructure improvements include removing the grinder pumps from the extremities of the system and extending service from Snail Road to the Truro town line.
