The Village of Morton Grove Fire Department operates out of two fire stations, with firefighters working on 24-hour shifts. There is one regional dispatch center that is consolidated with neighboring towns. The fire service began a volunteer squad in 1904 and became a professional organization in 1965. The Fire Department participates in the community with annual events such as the holiday food drive.

The Village of Morton Grove Municipal Center encompasses the governmental offices for the village. The Village President and Board of Trustees hold public board meetings twice each month. Administrated by the Morton Grove Parks District, the Prairie View Community Center is home to the Park District Administration Office, the Maine Niles Association of Special Recreation and the Park Police Office. The center features a 5,000-square-foot fitness club, a gymnasium, racquetball courts and a number of rooms to host meetings and other community events.
