The Proviso Township Board meets twice a month at the offices in Hillside on the first Monday and the third Wednesday of each month. There is a yearly town meeting held every April. The public is encouraged to attend all meetings, the times and dates of which are posted in the local paper.
Proviso Township includes all or part of 14 different villages (LaGrange Park) and a small amount of unincorporated area. The township provides a variety of services to the community including information about real estate tax issues, election services, and birth and death records.
