Located on Marine Parkway is the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 11-6, one of the friendliest auxiliary's in this part of Florida. Visitors are always welcome to join in on some fun in the sun with a boat ride, vessel safety check, picnics, fellowship and meeting people with the same common interests. The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary enjoys helping the public, working with children, teaching boaters and assisting the coast guard when necessary. Located on Main Street, New Port Richey City Hall houses the offices of some of the city's important functions, like fire and emergency services, and prominent public officials, such as the city clerk.
The city council holds its meetings in the building on the first and third Tuesday of every month.

Led by Fire Chief Alex Onishenko, the Fire and Emergency Services Department responds to major and minor fires within New Port Richey's borders.
The firefighting division consists of 18 career firefighters, according to the department Web site. The department responded to 290 incidents of varied degrrees of severity in 2009, according to its Web site.
The department also provides inspections and fire prevention services. It has two stations in the city: one at 6333 Madison Street and another at 6121 High Street.
The city manager ensures all city departments are running smoothly. In addition to being the office that deals with citizen complaints and questions, the office is responsible for preparing the city council agenda, as well as those of the Community Redevelopment Agency, city council workshop, development review committee and cultural affairs advisory committee. John Schneiger currently holds the position of city manager.
Housed in the New Port Richey Recreation and Aquatics Center, this department manages all the city parks and recreation facilities. It is led by Director Elaine Smith and was chosen as Florida's "Number One Parks and Recreation Department" by the Florida Recreation and Park Association.

Located right next to City Hall, the library offers free membership and contains a large collection of books, DVDs, CDs and periodicals, study rooms and meeting rooms. It hosts activities, clubs and classes.
The library won the first Library of the Year Award, presented by the Florida Library Association, in 2006. It is currently nominated for the Best Small Library in America Award, which is presented by the Library Journal, and is celebrating its 90th anniversary.
The West Pasco County Government Center houses the offices of four of the five Pasco County commissioners.
The commission, which meets every other Tuesday, alternates its public meetings between the Pasco County Courthouse in Dade City and the West Pasco Government Center.

The schedule begins with the regular commission meetings at 10 a.m. Public hearings and rezoning meetings start at 1:30 p.m.

The City Clerk's office is located in City Hall. The city clerk supervises city elections, records and archives. The office is also responsible for city policies and procedures and Pine Hill Cemetery. The office is currently held by Linda Kann.
New Port Richey's Human Resources Department is responsible for hiring city employees, providing them with benefits and fulfilling their needs. The department's five main functions are employment, payment and classification, employee relations, training as well as benefits and risk management. It also maintains employee files and negotiates contracts with police and fire unions. The office is located in city hall.
