The Department of Public Works is responsible for overseeing parking, mobility and the overall transportation in the city. The director of Public Works is Oscar Delgado, and he oversees the parking, transportation and commercial code compliance departments.
The City Clerk's role is to provide support services, information and solutions for members of the community. Some of these services include providing support for municipal boards and commissions, providing domestic partnership registration and ensuring staffing at City Hall.

City Council members of West Hollywood can serve for a four-year term. The Mayor of the city is selected by the City Council. This rotation among members of the Council is done on an annual basis in the month of April. The City Council has Council Deputies and other staff that provide research, reports, and legislative aid. Members of the community who would like to voice their concerns or provide input can meet with Council Deputies and they will pass the information over the the appropriate council member. The city of West Hollywood has a Human Services department available to residents. The Department of Human Services is made up of the Landscape & Building Maintenance Division, Recreation Services Division and the Social Services Division. This department works to provide and implement various services to community members such as building and street repairs, graffiti removal, animal care and control. Residents may also take advantage of recreational activities organized through this department. The director of Human Services is Sam Baxter.
Paul Arevalo is the City Manager of West Hollywood, and he works to ensure that the city's goals, vision and programs remain in place. He also works closely with various individuals and departments such as the City Attorney, the Assistant City Manager, the Economic Development Divsion, and West Hollywood Sheriffs. Arevalo also serves as the Executive Director of the West Hollywood Redevelopment Agency and works directly with the Public Safety Division. He has been with the City of West Hollywood since 1990.
