Bullhead City Public Works is a local government division that provides maintenance, construction and public infrastructure facilities and services for the City of Bullhead City, Ariz. Its primary responsibility is the protection and maintenance of all city facilities, streets, roads, drainage networks, wastewater facilities, as well as city-owned vehicles and buildings. It also operates the Bullhead Area Transit System, which began in December, 2000. Bullhead City is located along the eastern banks of the Colorado River in northwestern Arizona. The city is located 90 miles southeast of Las Vegas. Bullhead City was incorporated in 1984 and has a population of more than 33,000 residents.

The Bullhead City Police Department provides law enforcement in the city of Bullhead City, Ariz. The department was founded in 1985 and employs more than 110 people. The department has several specialized divisions, including animal control, the canine division, a tactical response team, a gang unit, a dive team and a school resources unit. The department s animal control unit consists of a shelter that houses stray animals. Its canine unit utilizes trained dogs to detect narcotics. The tactical response unit consists of the special-weapons assault team, bomb technicians and a negotiations team. The department s dive team is primarily engaged in search and rescue activities. Its school resources unit is dedicated to maintaining the safety of school children.
