University Park Village Hall houses the location where the University Park, Ill., board members meet. It also serves as the location for fund collections for various departments, which includes police citations, village vehicle stickers, inspection fees and business licenses. The village of University Park was founded under the name of Park Forest South in 1967. This was a planned community, such as its neighbor Park Forest, Ill. In 1984, the village changed its name to University Park to better identify itself to the link of Governor State University and its large industrial park on the west side of town. The village is host to approximately 6,700 residents. Police reports can also be taken at University Park Village Hall.
