Community of Christ offers many ministries to teach the gospel and to help the community. Weddings, baptisms, communion and confirmation are all sacraments practiced at Community of Christ.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Ankeny Ward) is the religious and cultural center for the Ankeny-area Mormon community. The small staff here says that the church is active in the community through a variety of outreach programs, like its children and adult Bible study programs, as well as food and clothing drives.
